Australian Wood Wine Stopper #WSW0004

Hand turned food safe wood wine stopper.   This piece is a rare Coolibah Burl imported from Australia.   The Burl is a unique growth area of the Coolibah tree.   It produces unique swirled grain and texture in the piece.   I apply a high temperature food grade Carnauba wax on my creations.  High temperatures are generated by friction while the piece is spinning on my lathe.   The wax will not chip or yellow like a clear coat.
